This card was made using the <a href="http://www.scrappydew.com/store/holiday/valentine-easter.php?valentine" target="_blank">Kissing Fish file</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PDVVSGWDNJM/UO5h3CNcrGI/AAAAAAAAARU/5SImDX7qBCw/s1600/Kissing+fish+SD.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PDVVSGWDNJM/UO5h3CNcrGI/AAAAAAAAARU/5SImDX7qBCw/s320/Kissing+fish+SD.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used DCWV water paper. Sandpaper was used for </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
the ocean floor. I did Print and Cut in SCAL for the bubbles.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
All other paper was from Recollections.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The inside of the card reads, </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
"You were the best catch.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Happy Valentine's Day".</div>

I made this Kansas University Snowman set from the</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Joy, Peace, Love file from <a href="http://www.scrappydew.com/store/christmas/christmas_theme2.php?set2" target="_blank">Scrappydew</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A7WGy3mX_Og/ULoMIg74zYI/AAAAAAAAAQ4/f2JR8TlSakM/s1600/JoyPeaceLoveKU.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A7WGy3mX_Og/ULoMIg74zYI/AAAAAAAAAQ4/f2JR8TlSakM/s1600/JoyPeaceLoveKU.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I cut chipboard 4x6.5, then covered it with red Recollections cardstock. Then I cut</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
the Jayhawk background (3.5x 6) out of Collegiate Paper. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Using my Cinch, I punched holes on the long ends at 3/4 of an inch.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The snowmen bodies were cut from Coredinations white texture cardstock. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
All of the other pieces were cut from Recollections.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I cut small pieces of fleece for the scarves and popped them out.</div>
I used jump rings to bind them all together.Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12746611743220829412noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357685702733664662.post-27470983295111391082012-11-23T15:38:00.003-06:002012-11-24T08:53:22.129-06:00Santa's Coming to Town!<div style="text-align: center;">
Here is a Christmas gift tag.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rVkRcqkWhhk/UK_sTMxTkuI/AAAAAAAAAQY/FBWs7DQt9qY/s1600/SantasComingToTownFinal.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rVkRcqkWhhk/UK_sTMxTkuI/AAAAAAAAAQY/FBWs7DQt9qY/s1600/SantasComingToTownFinal.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used the file <a href="http://www.scrappydew.com/store/christmas/christmas_theme2.php" target="_blank">Santa's Coming to Town</a> . I made the bag</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and did a print and cut. The chimney is cut from Bazzill cardstock.<br />
I used Recollection cardstock for the other pieces.</div>
Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12746611743220829412noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357685702733664662.post-53299770290291616522012-11-20T06:52:00.002-06:002012-11-20T06:52:48.813-06:00Snow Globe Card<div style="text-align: center;">
Snow Globe Shaker Card</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
File from <a href="http://www.scrappydew.com/" target="_blank">Scrappydew</a> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dWo0Cy60Th4/UKt85VaqAJI/AAAAAAAAAQI/8ikLSZ5hgzg/s1600/SnowGlobe+wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="231" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dWo0Cy60Th4/UKt85VaqAJI/AAAAAAAAAQI/8ikLSZ5hgzg/s320/SnowGlobe+wm.jpg" width="320" /></a> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the globe and snowman, I used Recollection cardstock in silver, light blues,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
black
and brown. Georgia Pacific white cardstock was used for the snowman.I
embossed the background of the globe with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots
embossing folder. The background of the card is Stampin Up! confetti
and was embossed with Sizzix Snowflakes embossing folder. I used a
light blue ink to highlight the snowflakes. For the outside dome, using
SCAL, I used the background of the dome then centered the snow
background and joined them, which created the "outline" of the dome. I
cut 3 pieces of chipboard and lined those up and glued them to give some
depth. I glued the acetate between the chipboard and outline dome. I put some white seed beads in and glued it all together.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

We were on vacation for the last week. We had a great time, but I sure missed</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
my craft room and my cutters! I was able to do some designing so that when</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
we got home I could cut, cut, cut!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So here is what I came up with. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-V3rJATbcUmA/UJWyNaLZHBI/AAAAAAAAAPg/cKJT4o5upIg/s1600/ChristmasHouseMary.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-V3rJATbcUmA/UJWyNaLZHBI/AAAAAAAAAPg/cKJT4o5upIg/s320/ChristmasHouseMary.jpg" width="252" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used a 16 x 20 piece of sheet metal then spray painted it with Valspar Satin Enchanted.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Using the <a href="http://www.scrappydew.com/store/new-patterns/" target="_blank">Christmas House file from Scrappydew</a>, I cut everything out of vinyl and layered it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My intentions were to make one for each of my kids! HOWEVER, I am keeping this one for ME! </div>
Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12746611743220829412noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357685702733664662.post-20078985106131343992012-10-23T06:02:00.002-05:002012-10-23T06:02:14.295-05:00Fireplace and stockings<div style="text-align: center;">
This card was made using the fireplace and stockings from the Santa's Presents file.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iL0AX6Z__5A/UIZ2vov0SqI/AAAAAAAAAPI/Na7GxLVafMY/s1600/MaryKobeFinal.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iL0AX6Z__5A/UIZ2vov0SqI/AAAAAAAAAPI/Na7GxLVafMY/s1600/MaryKobeFinal.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used DCWV hunter green cardstock for the back. The Christmas paper</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
is Colorblok Christmas Script, the mantle, stockings and fireplace insert was</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
cut from The Paper Studio, and the fireplace is Brick from Bazzill.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used my <a href="http://thatsscrapinc.com/" target="_blank">Silver Bullet</a> to cut all pieces.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For
the fireplace, I dabbed Vintage Photo Ranger Distress Ink onto the Tim
Holtz brick embossing folder by Sizzix and rand the Bazzill paper
through. I scored random lines on the mantle and used the</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Vintage Photo Ranger Distress Ink to highlight the lines.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

Hard to believe she will be 2!! Where does the time go?<br />
I used the <a href="http://www.scrappydew.com/news/index.php?id=4603508250827102886#" target="_blank">Cupcake Hippo</a> from Scrappydew.com. Using Icicle Stickles to add some sparklies to the cupcake and ran the bottom through my paper crimper. <br />

Just a fun little Halloween card!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used <a href="http://www.scrappydew.com/store/halloween/halloween_theme.html" target="_blank">Just Hanging Out Spider </a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
from Scrappydew.com.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used Co'ordinations smooth cardstock for the orange, </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
black, purple, and gray, and Georgia Pacific white cardstock.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I made a wobbly spring for the spider and tied him onto his web </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
with a piece of thread.</div>

Using the free Pumpkin Witch SVG from Scrappydew, I made this little treat bag.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used Heidi Grace cardstsock for the bag. (Trick or Treat smell my feet!)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the pumpkin witch, I used The Paper Studio orange, black, and yellow.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I made this scarecrow using Scrappy's Scarecrow. The crow is from Scrappy's Fall Crows. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You can find the files <a href="http://www.scrappydew.com/" target="_blank">here</a>. Rob has TONS of great files!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-45Lz6uKlkwg/UFhKPZrjCcI/AAAAAAAAAMI/jJkDlvkl114/s1600/scarecrow+wm.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-45Lz6uKlkwg/UFhKPZrjCcI/AAAAAAAAAMI/jJkDlvkl114/s320/scarecrow+wm.jpg" width="241" /></a> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Using my <a href="http://thatsscrapinc.com/" target="_blank">Silver Bullet</a> and a 30 degree fabric blade, I cut the hat, shirt, and overalls out of</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
some scraps of fabric I had on hand. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The body, shoes, and crow were made from Recollections paper.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The leaves were leftover from another project.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I purchased the hay bale from Hobby Lobby.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used raffia, purchased at Hobby Lobby, for the straw hair and at the arms.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The raffia was a little too thick for my liking, so I used a long needle to separate the strands. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

I finally took a break and went to dinner. I was so glad Murphy was not here when I got home! Project done!!!<br />
<br />
Tune in tomorrow for more info!!Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12746611743220829412noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357685702733664662.post-11855387939688901852012-08-19T13:47:00.000-05:002012-08-19T13:47:04.124-05:00I found this at a local garage sale for a quarter. I figured I could find a new purpose for it. <br />
I have the Silver Bullet from <a href="http://thatsscrapinc.com/" target="_blank">Sherri at That's Scrap Inc</a> and used it to cut out my flowers and leaves.<br />
<br />
Using some of Penny Duncan's <a href="http://pennyduncancreations.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">http://pennyduncancreations.blogspot.com/</a> roses and leaves and some flowers and ferns that I designed, I changed it to a memo board.<br />
<br />
I really like the way it turned out!<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/__RIlNJMlzVY/TUCxxqh-I-I/AAAAAAAAAGU/L9tutvy8qGE/s1600/valentine+suckers.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" s5="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/__RIlNJMlzVY/TUCxxqh-I-I/AAAAAAAAAGU/L9tutvy8qGE/s320/valentine+suckers.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
I cut the first ones out with the tiny rhinestones and realized that was just too much work to get the cirlces off my mat! So, I enlarged the rhinestones and I like the look! (Plus, I was less frustrated!)<br />
<br />
Enjoy!<br />

I opened my big mouth and told a co-worker that I would do a Valentine project with her Girl Scout troup to give to residents in a local retirement home. She originally said they would need 42. I found out today it is 147! Yikes! I better get to cutting. I have other ideas for cards, but wanted to share this one.<br />

The kiss was cut with MTC and my wonderful Cougar! The wording is a stamp.<br />
<br />
Just couldn't resist this one!
